The Hate You Give Screening

FlipTurn partnered with 20th Century Fox to empower audiences nationwide to share their voices in support of the film The Hate U Give (THUG). During special advance screenings, fans had the opportunity to record onsite testimonials expressing their thoughts on the movie.

In collaboration with Fox’s digital and regional PR teams, FlipTurn organized 10 screenings featuring a branded 5’x5’ pop-up video booth and a “chill area” where fans could relax, enjoy snacks, and collect their thoughts. A production crew filmed each testimonial, asking participants questions like: “Why should people see THUG?”, “What can people learn from Starr?” and “What surprised you about this film?”.

Each participant received a copy of the book and a branded tote bag. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with fans eager to participate and encourage others to see the film. All recorded content was provided to Fox and repurposed into Instagram stories for the THUG IG channel. FlipTurn collected compelling content that enriched the social and digital marketing campaign for The Hate U Give by giving fans a platform to share their reactions.
