Avengers Infinity War Group Hug

In response to the emotional aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War, FlipTurn, in collaboration with Disney and Marvel Studios, created the "Group Hug" sessions at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. This initiative brought fans together offline to console and support each other.

Hosted in a fully wrapped, customized trailer at The Experience at Petco Park, Group Hug Counselors (Improv actors and MCU fans) guided attendees through their love for the MCU and their feelings about the end of Infinity War. In a Marvel-themed room, 8-12 participants at a time enjoyed comforting donuts, discussed their emotions, and speculated on future MCU developments.

Each session concluded with a never-before-seen deleted scene from Infinity War, and attendees received an exclusive "Spared By Thanos" t-shirt. The inaugural session featured a surprise appearance by Paul Bettany ("Vision"), delighting fans and easing their sorrow. Additionally, fans participated in a 3-D Hulk Hug photo op, receiving "Spared By Thanos" silicone bracelets, and were encouraged to share their Hulk Hug pictures online with the hashtag #GroupHug.

This event provided a unique and comforting experience for fans, fostering community and excitement for the MCU's future.
