Social media influencers were invited to see the new adventure before it hit theaters and to take part in an unforgettable fan experience full of magic and wonder. After the screening, guests were treated to several interactive activations and fun in-world photo ops! The activation space brought the film to life with stylized decor, speciality “Mushroomton Mule” drinks and culinary delights. Included was a special meet-n-greet with the real-life Guinevere, the iron steed van from the film. Celebrity Baker Duff’s team created a confectionary showstopper cake and cupcakes inspired by Guinevere that included pristine detailing like her personalized license plate, airbrushed pegasus and even had the Lightfoot brothers sitting on the roof with the glimmering wizard staff.
Guests got up-close and personal sharing their reactions to the film at the testimonial setups for social content creation. Next, they “share from their heart’s fire” by contributing a memory or name of someone who has always been here for them. Guests became Wizards and the star of their very own Quest of Yore Game card! The in-world magic continued with an immersive fabricated set build of Ian’s room from the film. Marketing partner displays for Happy Socks and Mixtiles provided a way to bring Onward into their everyday lives. Influencers flooded social channels to share their experience. The Onward influencer screening immersed guests into the exciting world of the film and helped to kick-off a strong digital word-of-mouth campaign.
