In the wake of Thanos’ wrath at the end of AIW, fans were compelled to come together online to console and support one another in dealing with the devastating loss of beloved superheroes. To continue this effort, Disney & Marvel Studios brought this support offline bringing fans together in intimate Group Hug sessions at San Diego Comic-Con 2018! In a fully-wrapped, customized trailer set up at The Experience at Petco Park, Group Hug Counselors (Improv Actors/MCU fans) walked fans through their love of the MCU as well as sort through their feelings about the end of AIW. At the end of each session, fans were treated to a never-before-seen deleted scene from AIW and given an exclusive “Spared By Thanos” t-shirt as they exited. Fans participated in an epic 3-D Hulk Hug photo op as part of the activation space. Fans who snapped a pic received a “Spared By Thanos” silicon bracelet and encouraged to share their Hulk Hug pic online #GroupHug.
